Dear MAUE Families,
What a fantastic year we have had at MAUE! Thank you for all the many ways you have served and supported our school this year through the PTO. Whether you sold raffle tickets last fall, pledged money for Boosterthon this spring, attended one of our spirit nights, decorated the hallways, helped with the book fair or jag store, served lunches to our staff, served as a room parent, or any number of other ways this year, we have all worked together to help make this the best year possible for our students and staff! In addition to being able to support numerous events and programs throughout the year, we also raised the funds needed to purchase new, innovative playground equipment that will be installed this summer. Again, THANK YOU for your tremendous support and generosity this year! I have truly enjoyed working alongside each of you.
I am pleased to share that Tress Johnson will be the PTO President for the 2023-2024 school year! Tress served as our Fundraising VP this year and worked hard to plan and implement both the Fall and Spring fundraisers. Over the years, Tress has served in a variety of leadership roles in the PTO at both MAUE and MAE, and I am confident our PTO is in excellent hands with her as our leader! I look forward to working together with Tress and all of you again next year at MAUE (and also with those of you who are moving on to Madison Middle!). I hope you have a wonderful summer!

Night at the Museum- MAUE Artist's Alley- This Thursday!
Location: Madison Avenue Upper Elementary
Date: Thursday May 11th
Time: 6:00 PM-7:00 PM- come and go
Come by MAUE on Thursday May 11th from 6-7PM, as the halls are transformed to a museum! The hallways will be filled with all of the artwork of MAUE's talented artists. During art this year, students traveled through time and learned about the different art periods, famous artists and famous artworks throughout history. They created several artworks inspired by these different types of art beginning with prehistoric art all the way to art today. Artwork will include various drawings, paintings, mixed media art, cut and paste art, three-dimensional art, ceramics, and printmaking. There will also be professional artists demonstrating various art skills and live music to enjoy! More information is coming soon, and a newsletter will be sent home with your child with all of the information that you will need. Hope to see you there!

MAUE Field Day!
Field Day is scheduled for May 19th. It is going to be a fun day for all of the students!
All parents are invited! If you plan to attend, please be ready and willing to help your child's teacher at each of the six stations as the class rotates. We will need extra hands facilitating the games, helping with popsicles, etc. We will divide Field Day events by grade level. See the schedule below:
3rd Grade 8:00-9:30
4th Grade 12:00-1:30
5th Grade 10:00-11:30

Join the FUN!
Looking for ways to get involved, but do not have a lot of time to spare? We have the perfect spots for you on our PTO team! We are looking to add members to our Decorations Team and PIE Chair.
The Decorations Team is needed to fill the halls with excitement and joy for back to school and before the winter holiday. The Partners In Education (PIE) Chair is perfect for the parent who wants to be involved but needs the flexibility to help out from home or the office.
