November JAG Blast

A message from our Principal:

Dear Parents,

We are already working on Term 2 of the 2022-2023 academic year! We are having a great year and our students and teachers are working extremely hard!

I want to thank you for your support with the fall fundraiser. We exceeded our $45,000 goal and look forward to adding on to our playground area! A special thank you to our Assistant Principal, Mary Kate Diltz, for allowing the student body to ‘slime her’. She will be picking slime out of her hair for a few weeks. She is the best! I also want to thank all of you who attended our Time Traveling Community Night. It was a fun night and we enjoyed having the M.A.U.E. family together!

A few more reminders: Please remember that doors open to students at 7:00am and the tardy bell rings at 7:30am. It is critical for our students to arrive on time each day and be seated in their seats ready to learn at 7:30am. The teachers are hard at work preparing our students for the upcoming yearly assessments and ensuring that all students are mastering the required grade level skills. We need our students to be present and on time each day. If your child is not inside the building by 7:30am, please park your car and walk in and sign-in your child. This will ensure that your child has an excused tardy.

I am so proud of the accomplishments that our students have already made this year! I appreciate your support as we work together to provide the best education for our children!

Respectfully,

Dr. Kim Brewer, Principal

Fast Forward to Future Important Dates:

There will be no PTO meeting in November.

MAUE Scholastic Book Fair

MAUE's Scholastic Book Fair is November 7-11th. Make sure to check the schedule below for your child's scheduled shopping date and time. The shopping schedule will also be sent home in take home folders. In addition to their scheduled shopping time, you will be able to shop with your child after the Thanksgiving Feast on Friday, November 11th and Family Night on November 8th from 4:30-6:30 pm. We recommend using the eWALLET system! Click the link to create an eWALLET for your child.

If you are able, please sign up to help with the book fair. We still have several spots open for volunteers, and we need some extra hands to make sure the book fair is a great time for all students.

Fall Apparel Preorder Coming Soon!

Be on the lookout for a fall apparel preorder! The design will be available for viewing soon. This is a preorder, so we will not order extras. Look for forms in your child's take home folder soon, as well as checking the PTO Facebook page for more information.

Fall Fundraiser Success!

The fall fundraiser was a huge success! We could not have reached our goal without all of your support! We raised a total of $46,500! We surpassed our goal of $45,000 and were able to slime Ms. Diltz! The students loved it, and Ms. Diltz was such a great sport!

Planning for Phase Two of our playground is already underway. Again, we could not have done this without you! The hard work from students and parents during the fundraiser will leave a lasting impact! Thank you!!
