Dear MAUE Families,
We are so proud of our MAUE students, parents, and faculty! Not only did MAUE earn an A-rating, but we are also proud to announce our 3rd grade ELA scores are the BEST in the state!! Fourth and fifth grade ELA scores are in the Top 3 of the state!!

Raffle Fundraiser Success
We want to give a HUGE thank you for all of your support during our fall fundraiser! Every child at MAUE will benefit from the fundraiser, and we could not have done it without your help! We raised over $49,250!!! We will use these funds towards continuing the playground improvements.
Community Night Success
MAUE's first ever Fall Festival was a great time for everyone! The top sellers from our fundraiser were able to dunk their teachers, Dr. Diltz, and Mrs. Hammett! The students enjoyed fall themed games, Kona Ice, a petting zoo, and more dunking booth fun! Thank you for coming out and supporting this event! We hope to continue this tradition each year!
Canned Food Drive
We also want to thank everyone for their participation in the Jag Zone Canned Food Drive. MAUE collected 5,378 canned goods! Thank you for giving back to our community by helping those in need! Winners of the snow cone parties will be announced soon for the top contributing classes.

Fall Break
It's hard to believe we are wrapping up Term 1 and heading into Term 2! We are thankful for a break in between to rest and spend time with family. There will be no school on Friday, October 6 - October 13, returning to school Monday, October 16th.
Spirit Night at Pizza Shack
Step away from the kitchen! We want to see you at Pizza Shack on Tuesday, October 17th from 5-9 p.m.! Come enjoy some pizza while supporting our school!
Red Ribbon Week
The mission of Red Ribbon Week is to help teach kids the importance of being drug free. We will dress up each day during the week of October 23-27th to remind us to be kind to our minds by living drug free.
Jag Store October 31st - November 2nd
The first Jag Store of the year will be October 31st-November 2nd. For those of you who don't know, the Jag Store is a quarterly sale sponsored by the PTO. All proceeds above cost go directly to the school to benefit the students. Sale items include everything from cute stickers, fun pens, erasers, and candy to mini speakers and headphones. Prices range from $0.25 to $10. Please send cash only with your student.

MAUE Scholastic Book Fair
MAUE's Scholastic Book Fair is November 6-10th. Students will have a designated shopping schedule to come shop and purchase items from the book fair during school hours. In addition to the shopping schedule, you will be able to shop with your child after the Thanksgiving Feast on Friday, November 10th and Family Night on November 7th from 4:30-6:30 pm. We recommend using the eWALLET system! Be on the lookout for more information on eWALLET and volunteering to help with the book fair in the near future!
Veterans Day Program
We will honor our Veterans on Monday, November 13th with a special program by our 5th Grade Voices Choir. The program begins at 9:00 A.M. and will be located in the gym at MAUE. Students from MAUE and MAE may invite a veteran to attend the program with them on this date. Due to space limitations, only students with a veteran in attendance may attend the program.
